The Alps Tour is one of the third-tire stages in the buildup to the main European Tour Tournament. This year’s event will be the 19th tournament since the European Tour recognized alps Tour. The Tour is mainly a development professional golf tour program for men. The golf association of France endorses it.

The Tour began in 2001, and since then, golfers can earn gunner points which are carried to the Official World Golf Ranking.

The top players in the Alps tour will qualify for the second stage of the European Tour, with the top five winning playing advantages in the second stage. Several golfers have played in the Alps Tour and gone ahead to win the European Tour such as Julien Quesne and Matt Wallace.

Prizes of the Alps Tour start from 500 euros up to 40,000 euros depending on pars and skill level.
